Consulting Without Clients - Isn't That a Good Idea?

Start writing even if it's just for yourself. If you've been selling activity to sell thinking without a team, takes a unique different view. You could actually be a speaker and author without doing any advising. That's consulting without clients. The name of my fifth book is 13 on a list of 16 things to do when you need something different from running your firm. I don't know of any better solution there other than talking with somebody who is really observant, knows you well, and is not afraid to be candid and objective with you.
