Economic Decoupling and Supply Chain Security

Economic decoupling is a process where two countries that are deeply economically connected start deconnecting or decoupling with each other, not for economic reasons. The coupling refers to the deliberate dismantling of existing interdependence and economic and social relationship. Coupling can be very brutal because it requires the government, legal and administrative torkits and may go against the business interests and marke incentives. Both supply chan resilience and decoupling are being driven by the same kind of underlying trals,. i e concerns that other countries will use companies from their countries to coerce, or to intimidate, or to achieve influence.
