What Are Bandarias?

Bandarias are a weighted stick about a yard long with a hooked metal blade at the end. The bandaries are wielded by a new breed of bull fighter that takes the stage once the pecadors have retreated from the arena. In the second act, the bandarieros circle the bull holding a harpoon in each hand. It almost resembles a preying mantis pose. And then at the right moment, they sprint past the bull and jam the harpoons into the bull's back - two at a time.
