Is This a Forgery?
Monks at glastonbury abbey made an entry in their annals where they claimed that they had dug and excavated at a site on the grounds of the abbey. It was discarded or perhaps destroyed, in the dissolution of the monasteries in the 15 hundreds. We do know that it did really exist prior to being lost. But there are some who still argue in favor of the authenticity of this supposed discovery.
