The modern person would look at baptism or the ritual and see it as about the community, about newness of life, about restoring right? So it reduces it just to the emotional power. But because of what wed with r our prayers and our rights, god really does transform these things, right? They really do have power. You don't hear the majority of that stuff, or you hearis sentimentality, you hear what what i ends this phrase with is pure aesthetic suggestion carried out by means of ritual staging.
