The Importance of Integrity in the Leather Industry

I didn't realize that for a very very long time until hides come out the tannery and then actually there's only those sort of grain marks at the belly or where the fibrous structure is broken up to let those gaps in. I think that's an interesting thing when you start looking at things you go so uniform but now also they make it into something else. It has to be 0.15 millimeter or less of finishing on top of the leather for it to still be deemed leather which is a tremendous amount of its substance. There needs to be a new direction being sent into those industries for them to be able to offer something different.
