Schusterkovich's Burlesque

The DSCH motive is one of the most emotionally profound moments of the whole concerto. It culminates not in the Passekalia line, but in the Klesmer inspired music of the second movement. In his original conception the violin played this opening theme, not the winds and the storm. After 15 minutes of continuous playing, the violin was still not done. David Oysterach begged Schusterkovich to give the violinist a break.
