The Morally Evil Act of Aquinas

Aquinas offers us a set of distinct ideas that coexist in some tension. He takes it to be a given that a morally free agent who does evil has the power to do otherwise and does not act by necessity Otherwise he says the creature would not be culpable but in fact blameless. We depend always upon the creator for all the moral good that exists within us.
