Eurodollar Futures: The Future of LIBOR
Jeff Yang: Eurodollar Futures are bets on the future of LIBOR, London Bank. He says Libor is in process of being phased out and that those futures won't be trading soon. Yang: They're going to continue to trade, but they'll be trading on terms so far. On June 30th, when they stopped pricing LIBOR, when the intercontinental exchange does, they'll just be based on terms soFar. So they'll kind of roll over at that point.Yang: And then the Eurodollar Future will just become silver futures, essentially. But that's a good distinction. The Eurodollar system doesn't care. It still exists.
