Spirited Away by Miyazaki

Miyazaki's approach in Spirited Away reminds me of a colorist composer, someone like Duke Ellington or Claude Debussy. You end up with what starts off as a very simple chord becoming this puff of mauve,. you know, lavender scented smoke covering in the air. That just makes me lose my mind. This is one reason why I love Wagner so much because Wagner was an incredible colorist, right? And this is something that I love, absolutely love about Spirited Away.
