The Political Status of PG&E in California

California politics has its own animal. PG&E, I imagine, has had good relationships with both political parties. But in terms of the sort of public relationship that the company has with the legislature, that's broken down a lot over the last 20 years or so. The number of wildfires have just made it so that it is a huge political liability to be associated with this company at this point.
