The Need for an External Audit of Facebook's Content Moderation

Last week, 15 US senators pressed Facebook to address posts attacking Muslims. A New York study estimated that Facebook's AI system make about 300,000 content moderation mistakes per day. The correct direction for Facebook and for many other social media platforms is obviously be more proactive in these content validation detections instead of relying on users.
