The Golden Age of White-Collar Prosecutions Wasn't All That Golden
I feel as if finance and government kind of have this five families relationship where they're not going to start a war unnecessarily, because blood is too high a cost. So why would the Justice Department wage war on the financial powers that be in America when in some way they depend upon each other? That's my very general understanding. I mean, everything I understand about how power functions in America, I learned from the Godfather movies. There's a reason we like Aaron Brockovich and other stories of people going after corporate malfeasance. there's a reason people are so mad.
