Is This a Failure of the Great Firewall?
The Great Firewall has been designed to prevent mass protests in China. The system was developed after the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. Over the weekend, a dozen cities saw protests break out with content about them spreading all over the internet. But what shouldn't have happened is that they didn't become anything bigger and it's a profound failure of the censorship system.
