The Approach Plate Is Different for This Airport
This one's just unsettling because, like you say, so so unnecessary. The system that would have let them know that they were going to hit the ground is now installed in mandatory. And this was a smaller plane, smaller airport that didn't have the system that lets you know how quickly to descent. What I'll do on social media, I'll post what the approach plate looked like for them.
