Calcium and Iron in a Plant-Based Diet

Iron from plant-based foods too. Heam iron is the iron that we get from animals. Some research has shown increased risks for heart disease, stroke and diabetes with higher intakes of heam iron. Non-heam iron doesn't appear to have that same risk. calcium can sometimes fall a little bit low but you can absolutely get it in.
