Is There a Problem With Them?
When I was at BMW doing engine control unit tests, we had literal wash baskets full of ECUs for the different engines. We'd plug them all in and try to flash them in all combinations just to really prove to ourselves that yes, all those different firmware data sets still fit in the memory. And sort of as a side effect, we also proved ourselves that the flashing process was, was robust because we did hundreds of flashes a week. If we had only done like one or two in the lab or something, and something had been funny with said, okay, yeah, it was funny. I never thought twice about it.
