The Dark Side of Hamish's Music
When I did these two new songs, I certainly had a flash. That's the old me. But there is a darkness to lighthearted songs like all this sort of France and Artre style stuff I've been trying to write in this jazz style. My mother noticed that I was frantically playing piano all the time because he thought that's what the teachers all do. So your mother's made a big difference to being able to go out again into the world and to keep on with your music as well. She's going outside and bringing it back to the songs.
