North East India is very much a part and parcel, in every sense, of the country's mainstrin. We call it its ounoietiti. Itie is amalgam of different states and cultures. But one thing which has definitely changed in the last 20, 30 years - we are no longer in the situation whetther north easts not connected to the rest of the country. And so many people from the northeast are studying and working in other parts of the nation.
