George's Dulness Was a Political Asset

George the fifth was overshadowed by kings who came before him and after him. He reigned from 19 ten to 19 36, at well over 25 years, a good long reign. But george has been overlooked because he stood for little but sort of getting things done. And also that dulness, in some ways, was a political asset. A political asset in the sense that it enabled him to simply plough on with business while others were shouting and perhaps bing.
