Anxiety is at a massive upswing. This is the new pandemic that we're in. It's a mental health epidemic. In 2011, when they surveyed college students for whether they were suffering from significant anxiety struggles, that figure was one in 10 back in 2011. The CDC just recently released a report, something like one in three teenage girls are suffering from severe anxiety, depression, or some other mental health disorder. There's a lot going on. A leading hypothesis advanced by Jonathan Hight is that smartphone and smartphone addiction is at least a very strong culprit.
