Is There Such a High Incentive to Share Knowledge?

Is there such a high incentive that all this information just gets locked behind closed doors for those who are lucky enough to discover it? Or is it the case that everyone just thinks it's not possible to know an attempt? Mm, right. I mean, I do think part of it is that feeling like, wow, this is a real insight. But you see such surprising levels of sharing in other domains that I'd expect it to be similar,. Like, people share weightlifting programs, like what exactly what they're doing and all that stuff - even though they're giving away their competitive advantage.
