The Fed Stress Tests Silicon Valley Bank
US Senator Kennedy made a very good point about the stress test. He said even if you had stress tested Silicon Valley Bank, it wouldn't have made a difference. The tests were bogus because they only stress for an environment where interest rates went down. They never bothered to stress rising interest rates despite the fact that the Fed was increasing rates.
