We Can Afford, We Can Execute
We need to set high sights as a country. We need, and this is particularly the challenge for progressives like you and me, we need to show the government can do things, and can do things effectively. Nobody's boss gives them new responsibilities until they prove that they're totally in control of the responsibilities they already have. I think progressives are making a mistake to try to ever widen the imbit of responsibility of of a government. And i dare to hope that that will be true again.
