We urgently need a regulatory framework to limit the current unrestrained use of technology. I really hope there's sufficient funding going to some of these non-governmental institutions that are there to keep check law enforcement from doing things that might be harmful to civilians such as Liberty or Big Brother Watch in the UK. Hopefully we'll have such civil society organizations to sort of look out for us normal people. San Francisco has banned facial recognition. That's true. In a little special zone where everyone is thinking about it and talking about it, that's true. But that's where we can put our AI researcher hats on and stop talking about things kind of beyond our understanding. And that's about pretty much AI
