The Myth of Vagina Dentata

There are 22 variants of the vagina dentata myth in North American cultures alone. It's basically a misogynistic way of saying that women are evil and you should stay away from them. The Wichita one has a woman with a tooth vagina wandering around at night, castrating men in their sleep. In Arisa, in India, the myth has the tooth vagina eating the rice crop causing famine. Very occasionally you get one where the woman is empowered in the story.
