Cancer has taught me that the ability to bring space around the difficult, to actually bow to the difficult, then that's when it loses its power over me. I think that we crawled into our minds when we were very young, and we became human doings rather than human beings. That's why i love that allan watts, the famous zen philosopher, his quote, so much: no matter how many times you say the word water, it will never be wet.
