The Importance of Retention in an IPO
When you recruit your people, I mean recruitment and retention is a big deal. Do you offer them synthetics in terms of equity or do you offer your people upside? Do you have to, you feel as they have to do it? One of the main reasons that we IPO'd was, you know, we were in our first 10 years without any external capital in the business. So let's forget the shortages that COVID caused. It was already hard enough to build a team. But when you're pioneering new things in tech and e-commerce in a very young industry, there's not many people that have done the role before. That's one of the elements that works.
