The Battle of Jutland

After the First World War, two rival fleets would come into contact in Jutland. The United States and Japan had already started new expansion projects for their navies as the war came to a close. It was feared that these projects would result in another arms race during the 1920s. Washington Naval Conference led to one of the most successful arms limitation treaties in history. All nations were given tonnage limitations based on existing naval tonnage.
