The Relationship Between My Mother and My Mother

I'm interested in themes that have to do with pleasure and creation, then specifically maybe the origin of creation. My male protagonists are weaker and a bit more boring, really, than my female protagonists. A lot of the dialogues that I use in my films come directly from my mother. Even though she didn't receive a formal education in the 40s, she was very intelligent and very inventive. For example, even through the poverty that we lived in through the 1950s, she always figured out and made up ways to get us moving along.
