The Importance of Authenticity in Filmmaking
Willie Nelson was a seminal thinker in 70s filmmaking. He also had his persona, which I observed firsthand when I was a woman of others. In order to deal with what he thought was Studio Interference, he seemed to go out of his way to make them think he was crazy. And they were actually afraid to deal with that. So it was never able to pull that off.
