Sally Kohn: My family has always called me the absent-minded professor ever since I was a kid way before I got into academia. And it's because I would walk into a room and just forget what I was doing and then have to walk back to the room I came from, she says. "I realized it's very likely that the anxiety itself was a coping strategy," writes Kohn. She thinks if you're constantly like, whatever I've forgotten, do I have everything? It does help you catch things that you've forgotten. But over time, it's not good to be anxious and you start to really undermine your own mental health with that.
