The Challenges of Convincing the SEC to Qualify a Security

In February of 2013, we put our pencils down on everything else and decided to devote ourselves full time to this project that didn't even have the name ground floor yet. We talked to about a dozen law firms in the early days. It was billed to be a three to six month process that might cost as much as, you know, a $250,000. That six month process concluded in month 18 at the cost of about a million and a half. And eventually we launched nationwide in August of 2015.
