New Trading Aps Have a Big Impact on the Market
Aps became a source of regulatory and political concern last year. Professor eric gordon from the university of michigan's school of business says, younger traders and apts they use have had a big impact on the market. A lot of people are intimidated by the idea of opening a trading account with some kind of brokerage or even doing it on line. So making it available through an ap has meant they can do it just like they do everything else. And it's brought in a whole new generation of investors, or traders, or speculators. I don't think many of the new ap participants are in it for the long term yet, although we should check back in five years
