Why People Are Turning Off Politics
Too many journalists are still living within a pre digitization mind set, where their ontology is still bound to the logic of paper. In such a world it tells us y nothing about a leader's fitness for office that he couldn't recall a precise number in a given moment when everybody watching knows he could have gurgled it as he stood there. If you want to know why people are turning off politics, it's because a an election increasingly becomes this basic fact checking exercise between a government that serves to be turfed out in an opposition that's got no vision. And i would hope, i would hope that at this election we can lift the standard and turn it into a genuine contest
