Is This a Defacto Ban on Offshore Lee Sales?
The interior department has to come up with a what they call a five year plan for offshore lease sales. The oil industry is worried that, not only do they lose out on the november lease sale, but they don't when the next offshore lee sale is going to be. So they're kind of wondering, is this almost a defacto ban on lea sails in the gulf for the foreseeable future? Do we know if they'll appeal this decision? They haven't said yet.
