Euclid Is the Citron of Math
Euclid is this kind of classical tradition of we are going to start from a set of axioms about points and lines and circles. People's feelings about it over the years have been very ambivalent. Many people find it dull, I'm going to be honest. That was not really my jam. Other people have found themselves incredibly inspired by it and Lincoln was one. It's the only kind of math I ever liked. Well, and that's where I started book. And you know, this is why I say in the book that geometry is the cilantro of math. But everybody recognizes that it's different from everything else.
