The Russian Leadership and Russian Economists Are Looking More to the East
With western sanctions on Russia, it has incentivized Moscow to prioritize its economic integration with other parts of Asia. I'm curious if you think that the Russian leadership and Russian economists are looking much more to the East rather than to the West. Glazir gave us a very good example. He said that the opportunities for economic growth after sanctions were very high because you could do massive import substitution. You're no longer buying stuff from the West. You can rebuild your own industries. It's less easy to see what's happening in the leadership than in the currents of opinion amongst wider layers of people such as these economists.
