Introduction

A dam in Ukraine holding back a reservoir 150 miles long and 14 miles wide burst the morning of June 6th. That sent a massive amount of water heading downstream, flooding towns and villages. The reservoir is also used to cool Europe's largest nuclear power plant. Ari Shapiro got the view from Russia and Ukraine from NPR's Charles Mains in Moscow and Greg Myrie in Kyiv.
