The ripple effect of critical illness does not stop on the day of discharge from the hospital or the day of demise. And people are asked to reconcile the things you pointed out around paying bills and dealing with insurance, all thi while they're trying to grieve it. It's a huge burden to place on anyone, it really is. i hope that people will realize that after critical illness, like you said, they need to go into some form of a recovery programme. But, but the injury is on going, yes.
