The Great Inflation Period

Fiscal policy, personal and corporate tax rates during the great inflation period were considerably higher than even to day's highest expectations. The employment act of 19 forty six established that the federal government was responsible for achieving maximum employment and maintaining purchasing power. Between 19 65 and 19 80, the average individual marginal tax rate rose 57 %. This pushed workers into higher tax brackets, exasperating the stagflation. High inflation, low economic growth aspect of the great inflation era.
