In gymnastics, we learned that visualization is critical to be able to learn and perform a new skill. There's been some research showing that if you can visualize, like shooting basket balls, for example, or putting or swinging a golf club,. That can help physically prepare your body to do the same motion that you've been practising mentally. I think actually this was one reason why i moved a little bit away from studying just the art of visualization to thinking about other things that might go on mentally.
