The Negative Correlation Between Bernie Sanders and the Media
I think the point is that Bernie was a social Democrat. He spent a lot of time, one of his ambitions it seems, between 2016 and 2020, he was sort of to mainstream his conception of Democratic socialism. This simply was an entirely different ballpark in terms of the degree of hostility and the way in which the Republican elite united against Trump and nonetheless still failed to stop him. I mean, if he was an existential threat to their livelihood, then you would maybe expect a little more hostility.
