We're getting more precision in terms of these answers, but not many big new sweeping world changing macro or micro theories. I would say Jeremy Steinherd behavior was the last significant new idea in theory. So nothing is new under the sun. We've had like a hundred, at least a hundred years of theory before empirical economics came along.
