AI is already being used to make important decisions like whether you should get alone, be accepted to university or how much to pay on an insurance claim. We're going to have a strong reaction to its power to make decisions over our lives and matters that we have emotional attachment to. The problem is that AI doesn't and can't care. It's artificial intelligence, not artificial empathy. How can we trust it with a decision like a terminal medical diagnosis if it has never lived?
