Academic philosophers have a lot of trouble with Girard's Christianity because it's actually rooted in the deconstruction of pagan religions. The book that I wrote, nine tenths of my premise for the entire thing about explaining religion and sacrifice probably came from Girard. There is a ton of interviews with him on YouTube so you can actually listen to him in interviews. He speaks English very well as well as other languages.
