A bomb exploded beneath the car behind the archdukes and wounded the arcians. So having believed that the plan had failed, the assassin made his way home and stopped offfer a sandwich on franz joseph street. The assassination spaed tha deep political crisis. Within one week, world war one was under way. This paved the way for a humiliating peace
