In January they released their third hit single, Tired of Waiting for You. By contrast Dave was leading the kind of life that can only really be led by a 17 year old pop star. He moved out of the family home and in with McAvery after his mother caught him in bed with 5 women. Once out of her watchful gaze he also started having affairs with men which was still illegal in 1964. The group went on a tour of Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. One stop to refuel in Moscow saw the group first back onto the plane at gunpoint following Pete Quayf unwisely making a joke about recently deposed Russian premier Nikita Khrushchev. On
