The History of the Hire of Auxiliaries

Many nations, including Britain, often hired soldiers from Germany. This was not really viewed favorably by the founding fathers here in the US. Auxiliaries were armies that served on behalf of governments with subsidies being paid at the national level instead of the personal level.
