The lab leak is atually not on the completely opposite end of a natural origin. We know that there were dozens of scientists going out to all these rural and remote areas, collecting tens of thousands of samples from notches or animals. So they were specifically looking for humans living in these remote areas that were infected, and collecting samples from them. During this process, they themselves might have been exposed to a infact id animal or human, and then brought thet infection back into a very densely populated urban centre.
